When people ask me what the highlight of my trip to Switzerland was, they usually expect me to name a famous mountain peak or a luxury chocolate shop. But if you truly want to connect with the soul of the Swiss Alps, you have to slow down, step off the main tourist path, and just listen.
For me, the moment time stood still was when we arrived at our overnight parking spot near a sun-drenched alpine meadow. Below the towering peaks and crisp mountain air, a rhythmic, metallic chime began to echo across the valley; the unmistakable sound of traditional Swiss cowbells... and they didn't stop until very, very, very late at night!!!
