Hi, we're Steven & Suzanne... and the real stars, Frankie & Tilley!

Welcome to Touring Ideas!

We're Steven and Suzanne, and wherever we go, our two four-legged assistants, Frankie and Tilley, are usually not too far behind (unless they've spotted another dog, squirrel, deer or someone eating bacon).

We've been touring for over 30 years and, if there's a way to travel, we've probably tried it! We've camped in tents, towed caravans, stayed in hotels, B&Bs and motels, travelled thousands of miles by car and motorbike, and these days you'll usually find us exploring in our motorhome.

Like most people, we started with one idea of what we needed... and then spent years discovering all the things we actually needed! Every trip has taught us something new, and we're still learning.

Steven is the resident tech enthusiast. If there's a new gadget, app or motorhome accessory on the market that promises to make life easier, he'll probably have watched twenty YouTube videos about it before breakfast. Whether we actually need it is a completely different question!

So why did we start Touring Ideas?

Because we're exactly like you.

We love watching other people's adventures on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, stealing... sorry... borrowing brilliant ideas and learning little tips that make travelling easier and more enjoyable.

And let's be honest, who doesn't love wandering around a campsite pretending you're just stretching your legs, while secretly having a good look at everyone else's setup? You know the walk... "Ooh, that's a clever idea!"... "We need one of those!"... "How have they managed to fit that in there?" Don't worry, you're among friends, we all do it!

One of the best things about the touring community is how happy everyone is to share their experiences. We've lost count of the number of times we've stopped to admire someone's setup and ended up chatting for half an hour. That's what touring is all about.

This website is our way of giving something back. We'll be sharing our adventures, honest reviews, tips we've picked up over the years, the mistakes we've made (there have been a few!), and hopefully a few ideas that make your own travels even better.

So grab a brew, have a look around, and if you see us on a campsite somewhere in the UK or Europe, come and say hello. We love talking all things touring... although you might struggle to get Steven to stop once he starts talking about gadgets!
